Join us and a small group on our regular scheduled tours through Northern Oman. We have chosen simple accommodation and visit some of the highlights in the region.

Oman's scenery is dramatic and is one of the images visitors recall and mention as a highlight of their visit. The mountains are truly mountainous with jagged peaks , and a pallet of colours from cream to rich ochre; the coastline includes soft sandy beaches, cliffs and rock pools full of hidden surprises and of course desert with sinuous crests of golden sands.

Punctuating the scenery are towns and villages, often surrounded by a Date Oasis. The modern building style of domestic buildings throughout the country is recognisable as being from Oman with pastel and white colours, flat roof and solid walls.

But by far its the population of Oman whose welcome and warmth makes the strongest impression on a visitor. Join us in the warmth of Oman and take home some lasting memories.

Day 1 WEDNESDAY After breakfast, journey from Muscat entering one of Oman’s many attractive Wadis . Mid afternoon, your vehicle enters the sands of the Wahiba Desert, where Camels roam through the golden sands, on the way to your overnight accommodation with private tent.

Day 2 THURSDAY From the desert travel towards Nizwa stopping at a small village to explore the settlement and the surrounding Date Oasis before continuing. Overnight in Al Diyar Hotel Nizwa.

Day 3 FRIDAY On the final day visit Nizwa with its bustling Friday animal market and the great round tower at Nizwa Fort. After taking lunch in a local restaurant return to Muscat with a stop at one of the attractive villages overlooked by the mountains.

Day 1 THURSDAY Leaving Muscat we travel though a series of dramatic Wadis set deep inside the mountains. Small villages are scattered here and we will visit one. Ascending over the mountains at 2,000meters we descend for an overnight in Nizwa's Al Diyar Hotel

Day 2 FRIDAY After breakfast visit Nizwa with its bustling Friday animal market and the great round tower at Nizwa Fort. After taking lunch in a local restaurant we leave for the golden sands of the Wahiba Desert and our private camp.

Day 3 SATURDAY After breakfast we travel south through the desert to the Arabian Sea where the desert meets the ocean. Following the coast we travel to Ras Al Hadd to a simple camp on a small beach from where an evening visit to Ras Al Jinz to watch Oman’s Green Turtles lay eggs on the beaches.

Day 4 SUNDAY After breakfast we leave for the town of Sur. Here we visit the yards where traditional wooden Dhows are still made by hand. Leaving Sur we visit one of the dramatic wadis which cut through the mountains to the sea. There will be an opportunity for ‘wild swimming’ before arriving in Muscat.
